1. Introduction and scope
This policy explains what personal information Bulldog Reviews collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Bulldog Reviews (“Bulldog Reviews”, “we”, “us”) is a ranking and reputation management company based in Delhi, India, serving clients worldwide.
It applies to our website (bulldogreviews.com), our enquiry and onboarding forms, our email communications, and the services we provide to clients. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our website or services.
Effective date: October 25, 2026.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run our website and deliver our services, from four sources.
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number (when you choose to provide one), company name and job title.
- Billing details needed to invoice you and process payments.
- The content of your messages, enquiries, review-removal requests and support tickets.
Information about your business and profiles (clients)
- Links to your business listings, review profiles and social pages, brand names, target keywords and ranking goals.
- Access to your profiles where you grant it. We recommend delegated or manager access instead of sharing passwords.
Information collected automatically
- IP address, device and browser type, operating system, pages viewed, referring URL and timestamps.
- Cookie and similar identifiers (see section 7).
Public and third-party information
- Publicly available reviews, ratings, reviewer names or usernames, search results and social media content, which we monitor to analyse and report on reputation.
- Information from referral partners, payment processors and analytics providers.
We do not ask for sensitive data such as government ID numbers, health information or card numbers by email or forms. Please do not send them to us.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information only for the purposes below and do not use it in ways that are incompatible with them.
- To respond to enquiries, provide quotes and deliver ranking and reputation management services.
- To monitor, analyse and report on online reviews, ratings and search visibility for our clients.
- To submit review reports, removal requests or disputes to third-party platforms on a client’s behalf.
- To invoice, collect payment, keep financial records and meet tax and legal obligations.
- To operate, secure and improve our website and services, including preventing fraud and abuse.
- To send service updates and, where permitted, marketing messages. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To enforce our agreements and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
4. Legal bases for processing
We process personal information only where we have a lawful reason to do so.
- India: under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, we process personal data with your consent or for the legitimate uses the Act permits, such as performing a contract you asked for or complying with the law. We give notice at the point of collection.
- European Economic Area and United Kingdom: under the GDPR and UK GDPR, we rely on contract (to deliver the services you request), legitimate interests (running and securing our business, and monitoring public review content), consent (for marketing and non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting).
- Other regions: we apply the standard that fits the local law that governs you.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing support@bulldogreviews.com. Withdrawal does not affect processing done before it.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we share it only in the cases below.
- Service providers: hosting, email, analytics, customer management, communication and payment providers that process data on our instructions under confidentiality and data protection terms.
- Third-party platforms: when we file reports, disputes or removal requests on your behalf, we share the details the platform needs to review them.
- Clients: our reports to a client describe public review content as it appears on the platform. We do not disclose more about a reviewer than the platform already shows publicly.
- Professional advisers: lawyers, accountants and auditors bound by confidentiality.
- Legal and safety reasons: courts, regulators or law enforcement when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, users or the public.
- Business transfers: a successor, in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
6. International data transfers
We are based in India and serve clients worldwide, so your information may be stored and processed in India and in other countries where we or our service providers operate. Those countries may have data protection laws different from yours.
Where the law requires safeguards for transfers, we use them, such as standard contractual clauses approved for the GDPR and UK GDPR, and contractual protections with our providers. Transfers from India follow the DPDP Act, which permits transfers except to countries the Indian government restricts.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep our website working, understand how it is used and, where you agree, measure marketing.
- Essential cookies keep the site secure and functional. They cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies show us which pages are visited, so we can improve the site.
- Marketing cookies, if we use them, measure campaigns. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent first.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working. Where required by law, we honour browser opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, or as the law requires, and then delete or anonymise it.
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Website enquiries and contact messages | 24 months after the last contact |
| Client account and service records | Length of the engagement, then as long as Indian tax and company law requires (generally 6 to 8 years) |
| Billing and payment records | 8 years from the end of the financial year |
| Website and server logs | 12 months |
| Marketing subscriptions | Until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent |
We may keep data longer where needed for a legal claim, a dispute or a regulatory request.
9. Security
We protect personal information with reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls limited to staff who need the data, confidentiality obligations for our team and providers, and regular review of who has access to client profiles.
No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
10. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights over your personal information.
- Access a copy or summary of the data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Delete your data, or restrict or object to how we use it.
- Receive your data in a portable format.
- Withdraw consent, and opt out of marketing at any time.
- Under the DPDP Act, nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become incapacitated.
- Under California law, know what we collect, request deletion or correction, and opt out of any sale or sharing. We do not discriminate against you for using these rights.
How to use them: email support@bulldogreviews.com. We may ask you to verify your identity first. We respond within the time the law sets, generally 30 days, or 45 days for California requests.
Complaints: please contact us first so we can fix the problem. You may also complain to your local data protection authority. In India, that is the Data Protection Board of India, after you have used our grievance process in section 14.
11. Children’s privacy
Our services are for businesses and adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@bulldogreviews.com and we will delete it.
12. Third-party sites, reviews and public content
Our work involves content on platforms we do not own or control, such as review sites, search engines and social networks. Their own privacy policies govern what they collect and show, and we are not responsible for their practices.
Reviews, ratings and profile details that people post publicly on those platforms remain under the platform’s control. If you are a reviewer or other individual named in content we have collected, and you want to ask about, correct or delete what we hold about you, email support@bulldogreviews.com. We cannot remove content from a third-party platform ourselves, but we will act on what we hold.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. We will post the new version on our website with a revised effective date, and we will tell you directly by email if the changes are material.
14. Contact us and grievance officer
Email support@bulldogreviews.com for any privacy question, request or complaint. It is our fastest channel, as we do not currently offer phone support.
